Kelvin is a helpful character in Sons of the Forest, but sometimes he can get a little out of hand. If you’ve ever given him an order to destroy a base, only to have him wreak havoc on your entire settlement, you know the feeling of frustration. Fortunately, there is a way to stop Kelvin from destroying your base and it doesn’t require you to constantly monitor him.
The first option is to go near Kelvin and hold the ‘E’ button. This will open up a list of orders you can give him and allow you to give him another order. This is the most direct approach, as it can be done while the game is in progress and will allow you to quickly change his order.
Disabling Structure Damage
If you don’t want to keep track of Kelvin, you can simply disable Structure Damage in the game. To do this, open the game, press ‘ESC’ to open the Options menu, select the ‘Gameplay’ tab, find ‘Structure Damage’ and click the arrows to turn it off, and then click ‘Apply’. This will prevent Kelvin from destroying any structures and will allow you to focus on other tasks without worrying about him getting out of control.
