The recently introduced Fortnite 19.40 patch
was jam-packed with loads of new challenges and seasonal quests. Avian
Ambush week was one of them that debuted a few days after the release of
the 19.40 update. The Avian Ambush quests require players to perform an
array of activities with chickens in order to bag the free level up XP.
The
list includes a lot of fun tasks such as flying with chickens, throwing
them, or sliding for 30 meters continuously while holding a chicken.
However, many players are having a hard time finding them on Fortnite’s
Chapter 3 map. Therefore, we’ve got a comprehensive guide to finding

How to Find Loot Islands in Fortnite
It’s
essential to note that Chickens spawn randomly on the map. But as we’ve
mentioned earlier, there are some locations where players can easily
find them. Here’s a list of those areas:
- North and Southwest of The Daily Bugle
- Southwest of Greasy Grove
- Near Chonker’s Speedway
- South of The Joneses
- Over the river north of Rocky Reels
- Near the buildings south of Tilted Towers
- Northwest of Covert Cavern
After
finding a bunch of chickens, players can complete challenges ranging
from catching and throwing them. Meanwhile, Fortnite fans will also
encounter glowing chickens while exploring the map. They are also known
as Loot Chickens since they carry loot, including weapons, ammo, and
other resources.
- Throw chickens (0/5)
- Slide for 30 meters continuously while holding a chicken (0/1)
- Open a Vault while holding a chicken (0/1)
- Fly with a chicken for 20 meters in a single flight (0/1)
- Catch a chicken in different matches (0/3)
- Hunt a Loot Chicken or Crow (0/2)
- Bounce on a tire, umbrella, or Web Bouncer 3 consecutive times while holding a chicken (0/1)
Avian
Ambush Week runs until March 15, 2022, at 8:59 AM ET. After the animal
kingdom restabilizes and the “Avian Ambush Week” Quests are over, a new
themed week will begin at 9 AM ET on March 15.
