Mortal Kombat 12: Release Date

Mortal Kombat is one of the most iconic fighting games of all time. After the success of Mortal Kombat 11, fans have been eagerly waiting for the next installment of the series. Earlier this year, leaks from a Warner Bros. Discovery Earnings Call for the 4th quarter revealed that MK12 is in the works, and fans have been eagerly awaiting any news regarding the game.

The leaked clip of the Warners Bros. Discovery Earnings call confirmed that the game is being worked on, however, it did not specify a release date. Fans have speculated that the game could be released in either late 2021 or early 2022, but there has been no official confirmation from either WBD or NetherRealm about the game’s release date. 

Ed Boon, the Creative Director of NetherRealm Studios, recently jokingly tweeted “#MK12”, further adding to the speculation of an official release date. This has caused confusion and surprise among players, as some think it could be a hint at the game’s release date, while others think it could simply be a joke.
